Batch 2: The Straight Shooter

This is the classic trust approach. A lot of homeowners have been burned by a contractor, or they're afraid of it: deposits taken, materials rotting in the yard, three quotes and no idea who's honest. These ads meet that head-on with plain honesty about price, who you are, and what doing it right actually means.

🎣 The openers

how each ad starts · ~10 seconds each

Each of these is the first thing a homeowner hears. One line = one clip.

1
Straight with you 28w
"I'll be straight with you. I'm probably not the cheapest deck builder in the Twin Cities. Give me forty-five seconds and I'll tell you why that's good news."
2
Burned before 23w
"If a contractor has ever taken your deposit and disappeared, or let materials sit in your yard for weeks, this one's for you."
3
The scariest part 25w
"The scariest part of a deck project isn't the price. It's handing somebody money and wondering if they'll actually show up and do it right."
4
Three quotes, no truth 26w
"Nobody wants to collect three deck quotes, get three wildly different prices, and have no idea who's telling the truth. Here's how to cut through it."
5
Take a breath 28w
"If you've been looking for a deck builder you can actually trust with your home, take a breath. They exist. Let me show you what to look for."
6
Real vs cheap 21w
"Here's how to tell a real deck builder from a cheap one, before you sign anything or put a dime down."

🥩 The middles

the heart of the ad · ~45 seconds each

Any opener can lead into any of these. Once you know the beats, you can say these in your own words.

A
Fair-price philosophy 99w
"Here's my honest take on price. The cheapest bid isn't cheap. It means somebody cut a corner you won't see until the deck wobbles, rots, or pulls away from the house, and then you're paying twice. And on the other end, nobody should gouge you either. I charge what it costs to do the job right the first time, and no more. Good materials, solid structure, a written labor warranty behind it. That's it. Fair price for excellent work is how I've done it for years, because I'd rather earn a customer for life than win one cheap job."
B
People, not contractors 99w
"Before you hire anybody for a deck, look past the portfolio and look at the person. You're letting someone onto your property, around your family, for weeks. Who they are matters. We're family owned. When you call, I answer. When I say I'll be there, I'm there. I listen to what you actually want, explain your options step by step, and tell you the truth even when it costs me the job. No games with the deposit, no materials sitting in your yard for a month. Just honest people doing honest work, the way it's supposed to be done."
C
Done right the first time 106w
"A deck is not something you want to build twice. So here's what doing it once looks like. Footings set below the frost line so nothing heaves. The ledger flashed right so water never gets behind it. Fasteners and framing that hold through twenty Minnesota winters, not two. Materials I'd put on my own house, explained to you plainly so you can choose what fits. Then a written labor warranty, because I stand behind what I build. That's the difference between buying a deck and buying it again in five years. Do it right the first time, and it's the last time you think about it."

📣 The endings

same two for every batch · ~12 seconds each

2
Direct / dream 34w
"Here’s the next step. A custom design meeting and free estimate for your dream outdoor project. We’ll design it together and I’ll give you an honest number. Tap Learn More and grab a time."
