Batch 3: Not the Cheapest Guy

You told us your biggest frustration is window shoppers hunting the cheapest bid. These ads say it out loud, respectfully, so the wrong callers filter themselves out before they ever book, and the serious homeowners lean in. Two of the lines mention a real price range; only say those if the numbers feel right to you.

🎣 The openers

how each ad starts · ~10 seconds each

Each of these is the first thing a homeowner hears. One line = one clip.

1
The filter 28w
"Looking for the cheapest deck bid in the Twin Cities? I'll save you the call. I'm not your guy. But if you want it built right, keep listening."
2
The filter, with numbers 28w
"Most of the decks I build run twenty-five to fifty grand, depending on size. If you're hunting the cheapest bid, I'll save you time. I'm not your guy."
3
Built to a price 30w
"Some people just want the lowest number on a page. I get it. But a deck built to a price instead of a standard always costs more in the end."
4
Two kinds of customers 29w
"There are two kinds of deck customers. One wants craftsmanship. One wants whoever's cheapest. I only build for one of them. Here's how to know which one you are."
5
Reason it's cheapest 26w
"That cheapest deck quote you got? There's a reason it's the cheapest. And you won't find it until a couple winters from now. Let me explain."
6
Serious homeowners 27w
"If you're serious about your home, this is for you. Not a price-shopper ad. This is for people who want their deck built once, and built right."

🥩 The middles

the heart of the ad · ~45 seconds each

Any opener can lead into any of these. Once you know the beats, you can say these in your own words.

A
I don't work that way 103w
"Most of the calls a deck builder gets are people hunting the cheapest bid. I'm going to be honest with you, that's not how I work. Either you want a craftsman building your stuff, or you want whoever will do it for less. And the guy doing it for less is cutting something. The footings. The flashing. The framing you'll never see. I'd rather lose the bid than build something I won't put my name on. So I listen, I explain exactly what you're paying for, and I charge what it costs to do it right. Nothing more, nothing hidden. That's the deal."
B
What cheap actually costs 100w
"Here's what the cheap bid actually costs. A deck that wobbles by year three. Posts heaving out of shallow footings. Boards cupping because somebody saved forty bucks on fasteners. Then you pay a second contractor to tear out what the first one did. I've seen it over and over for fifteen-plus years. Most of my builds land in the twenty-five-to-fifty range, and I'll tell you exactly why. I put that money where you can't see it, in the structure, so you never buy this deck twice. Cheap is what you pay for twice. Right is what you pay for once."
C
Respect both ways 102w
"I'm not knocking anybody's budget. Money's real, and I never want you paying for stuff you don't need. That's why I sit down with you, listen, and break down every option step by step, where the money goes, what it gets you, what I'd skip. But I won't win your job by quietly building you something worse. My customers are people who care about their home and want it done by somebody who cares just as much. If that's you, we're going to get along great. If the lowest number is all that matters, I'll shake your hand and wish you well."
